Department of Defense (DOD) DFARS Cybersecurity Audit Training - Varied Dates Dec 2018, Jan & Feb 2019
An annual cybersecurity audit is required by the DOD for all prime and sub-contractors that are working on DOD-related contracts. There is a significant shortage of individuals to perform the audit. The audit follows the NIST 800-171 requirements and results in (a) the completion of a set of DOD/DFARS audit forms, (b) the identification of a security plan, and (c) a resulting POAM (plan of action), which each DOD subcontractor must provide to the DOD to maintain their contract.
The DOD/DFARS Auditing course pilot project will be offered at a substantially discounted rate beginning on December 10th, 2018. For more information, see attached flyer.
NOTE: Besides being faculty professional development, training has been extended to employers and their incumbent workers as well.
If you have any questions about this training, please contact Ron McFarland (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Paula Hodge (email@example.com).
