What is a Microgrid?
A microgrid is a local energy grid with control capability, which means it can disconnect from the traditional grid and operate autonomously.
This workshop covers the distributed energy resources commonly used in microgrids, their integration and control, and economic analyses. The workshop will culminate with a tour of the Stone Edge Farm Microgrid which contains a wide variety of energy and storage systems including PV, batteries, combined heat and power, hydrogen production and fuel cells.
