SUMMARY:Teaching Dual Enrollment Students
DESCRIPTION:PREPARE TO BECOME A DUAL ENROLLMENT TEACHER\n\nDual enrollment is an educational practice that enables high school students to enroll in and complete credit-bearing college courses\, making it more likely that they will graduate from high school\, and that they will also enroll and succeed in college.\n\nCal State LA’s Teaching Dual Enrollment Students Online Program aims to increase the pool of qualified community college teachers instructing in a dual enrollment setting at the high school level. The program offers participants important insights and knowledge to prepare them as dual enrollment teachers with a comprehensive overview of dual enrollment programs\, including research evidence and data. Participants will also gain pedagogical strategies and logistical support necessary to succeed as dual enrollment instructors.\n\nIn addition\, upon completion of the program\, participants will receive two (2) Continuing Education Units (CEUs)\, and a Certificate of Completion.\n\nRegister by Wednesday\, September 29 for our Fall 2021 online program that begins on October 7.\n\nFor more information\, email Agustin Cervantes or call (323) 343-4320.
