"Making End-of-Life Care Amazing" Workshop


Please join us in welcoming Mr. Jay Westbrook, RN, MS, a nationally recognized expert on the constellation of issues surrounding End-of-Life care. Westbrook is an informative, entertaining, and inspiring speaker who presents powerfully on the transformative aspects of suffering & forgiveness, and on using suffering as a vehicle to awaken compassion. In this moving session, Jay’s narrative style will pave the way to incorporate new tools and a return to basics that will make our End-of-Life care amazing. Attendees will learn: • Language of the Heart Techniques • How to approach their work with a soft belly, and open heart • Posture of exploration in order to facilitate more gentle and tender passings • How to address pain, self-care, grief, forgiveness and the importance of knowing on which side of the door the hinges are located • Palliative areas our new graduates may find employment * 2.5 CEU’s will be awarded for attendance for licensed nurses, College of the Canyons Nursing - BRN provider # 13152
