Health Technology in Motion Event

High school teachers and community college faculty, take a look at this opportunity! We would also like to encourage high school and community college students to participate during part of the day. This event will provide exposure to updates and new industry information for your program area in health sciences, information technology, and computer science. The event consist of hands on exposure to health care and the internet of things, medical apps, and virtual human modeling. In addition, high school students will be invited to participate for part of the days activities.

Through the joint efforts from the SB1070 Regional Career Pathways Grant and the Deputy Sector Navigators Health and ICT and Digital Media Grants, a $300 stipend is available per person to develop curriculum for a classroom activity. Award of stipends will be distributed until funding has been exhausted to high school teachers and college professors who submit applications prior to the event. The goal is to share new industry information with faculty and students across the South Central Coast region for emerging and priority sectors. In addition, hotel accommodations for Friday December 11th are available for faculty traveling 85 miles or more.
