  • There will be a small reception on Friday , February 10 at 6:00pm in the lobby of the hotel.

The DSNs for Health and Information & Communication Technologies Sectors are excited to invite you to share the success of the IDRC HCIT grant project. Many of you have played a key role in the facilitation and outcomes of this grant project. Now in its fruition, we will share the HCIT course modules, the aligned with industry recognized certification and the implementation of pilot and certificate program in the Community College system.

We invite you to attend this final industry roundtable and advisory on the final outcomes of this project on February 11, 2017 in Burbank at the Marriott Burbank Hotel. Hotel rooms can be made available for those traveling from over 50 miles.

Presentation by: Desla Mancilla on Industry Certifications and AHIMA direction

Desla Mancilla is the Senior Director of Academic Affairs for American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Prior to joining AHIMA, she held a variety of academic and practice based positions including HIIM Program Director, Assistant Professor, Regional Director of Information Protection Services, and EHR Project Manager. In her current role, Dr. Mancilla coor­dinates academic programs and resources to support HIM faculty and to develop HIM workforce relationships to ensure today’s graduating students are prepared for the rapidly changing world of HIM.
