Manufacturing Guild Meeting and HaasTec 2017

Important Announcement and Invitation!

You are invited to attend the next Manufacturing Guild meeting to be held in conjunction with the 2017 HaasTec event at Haas Automation, 2800 Sturgis Road, Oxnard, at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11. We are inviting manufacturers, like you, because we believe that updates on new manufacturing skills training available in Ventura County could benefit your business.

The meeting will start with a presentation on how NIMS (National Institute of Metalworking Skills, Inc.) credentials can help your business. Montez King, Executive Director of NIMS plus local instructors from Ventura College’s Machine Technology and Simi Valley’s Machining programs, as well as reps from the Strong Workforce Apprenticeship Group, will share how their programs and NIMS credentials can improve your business by ensuring that students have the proper skills to work for your company.

The Manufacturing Guild is a program of the Workforce Education Coalition (“WEC”), a Ventura County 501(c)3. The Manufacturing Guild meets monthly to address the sector's workforce training needs. More information about the WEC and its mission are available at:

Following the Guild meeting, a behind the scenes tour of the Haas Automation factory called Haastec 2017 will start at 8:00 a.m. After the tour, lunch will be provided and a broad range of vendors will share the latest products for probing, tooling, chip conveyor, software, work holding, CAM, and more. If you have not already registered for HaasTec 2017, please click on the link below and do so before attending. We suggest you arrive at the entrance to Haas Automation by 6:45 a.m. to complete the registration process.

See you in Oxnard!
