Allan Hancock College Community Education now offers a free vocational education course that trains adult students for a career in the commercial trucking industry.
The course consists of two classes. The first class, Commercial Truck Driving Prep (VOCE 7800), is a five-week class that prepares students to take the DMV’s written exam and earn their commercial truck driving learner’s permit. The second course, Commercial Truck Driving: Behind the Wheel (VOCE 7801) prepares students to take the road test required to obtain a Class A or B California Commercial Driver’s License. Completing the course and earning their license will allow participating students to qualify for entry-level positions in the trucking industry.
