The presidents of Allan Hancock and Cuesta colleges presented UnitED Central Coast to a gathering of students and business leaders Thursday, a campaign to launch a community college baccalaureate program aimed at meeting local workforce needs.
Hancock College President Kevin G. Walthers told the group that both Hancock and Cuesta colleges have local students with very similar backgrounds who “have difficulty accessing higher education after they leave.”
The campaign is proposing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education at Cuesta College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Professional Studies at Allan Hancock College. Continued…
